Sample Preparation Technician (General Labourer) - DIDO- Winnipeg, MB to Red Lake, ON

Role Overview

Schedule and Workplace

• Drive-in/drive-out role for applicants from Winnipeg, Manitoba, working at the Red Lake, Ontario site.
• The rotation is two weeks on and two weeks off with accommodation and meals provided per diem.
• Work consists of rotating 12-hour day and overnight shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Unpack, sort, transfer, and dry samples.
• Perform crushing, pulverizing, and screening of geological materials.
• Conduct particle size analysis, dust loss checks, and other routine quality checks.
• Complete documentation, enter quality results into SLIMS, and maintain records.
• Keep work areas clean and report equipment damage or required adjustments.
• Work in other geochemistry laboratory sections when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Zero to one year of relevant experience or equivalent education-based experience.
• Strong analytical and mechanical skills and the ability to perform routine bench tests.
• Ability to follow written work instructions safely, accurately, and on time.
• Good communication, teamwork, independent-working, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Availability for shift work, extended hours, and travel to other SGS or client locations when required.
• Compliance with health and safety, integrity, and professional conduct policies.

Compensation

• Compensation is $23 to $25 per hour.
