Role overview

Solution architecture and student lifecycle

• Lead architecture for enterprise K-12 Education Cloud implementations and design scalable solutions for kindergarten through Grade 12.
• Design student lifecycle capabilities for recruitment, enrollment, admissions, registration, student information, academic progress, attendance, behaviour, parent and teacher engagement, wellbeing, graduation and alumni transition.
• Design Student 360 architecture, role-based user experiences and Experience Cloud portals for students, parents, educators and administrators.

Security, integrations and platform

• Define privacy controls, role hierarchy, sharing models and permissions.
• Lead integration architecture for SIS, LMS, assessment platforms, identity providers, ERP/finance, libraries, transportation and payment gateways.
• Design automation with Flow, Apex, OmniStudio where applicable, and Platform Events; lead Data Cloud adoption for unified insights where required.

Architecture leadership

• Participate in discovery, blueprinting, architecture reviews and governance; mentor technical teams and establish Salesforce development best practices.
• Support estimates, presales, RFPs and customer presentations.
• Address multi-school architecture, security and sharing, migration, master data, API-first and event-driven integration, scalability, availability, DevOps/CI/CD, performance and governance.

Required experience

• The posting states 12–18+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in Salesforce architecture; its required experience section also specifies 12+ years of Salesforce experience.
• At least 5 years of Education Cloud architecture experience.
• Proven K-12 solution design, multiple enterprise Salesforce implementations, and enterprise architecture and governance experience.
• Hands-on K-12 functional architecture across admissions, enrollment, academic planning, curriculum, scheduling, attendance, behaviour, case management, communications, wellbeing, assessment, reporting, transport, fees, graduation and alumni. Fee management is preferred.

Technical skills and integrations

• Required Salesforce clouds include Education Cloud, Experience Cloud, Service Cloud and Sales Cloud; Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud are preferred.
• Platform skills include Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Platform Events, Named Credentials and integration APIs; OmniStudio is preferred.
• Integration experience includes SIS, LMS, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure AD or Okta, payment gateways, ERP and document management systems.

Preferred knowledge and credentials

• Preferred knowledge includes district, charter, private, public and international-curriculum school systems, student analytics, Agentforce student support and Data Cloud-powered insights.
• Preferred certifications include Salesforce Application Architect, System Architect, Education Cloud Accredited Professional, Data Architect, Sharing & Visibility Architect, Integration Architect, Platform Developer II and AI Associate/Agentforce credentials.
• Data Cloud, Agentforce, education analytics, FERPA/GDPR privacy, and Copado or Gearset experience are described as nice to have.

Collaboration and leadership
