Sales Trainee

$52,000-$60,000 per year, quarterly bonuses

Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:

Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all times

Participate in a 12-18 month sales training program to prepare for a long-term position with BCI as an Account Executive

Meet or exceed the operating standards in the areas of sales and customer service. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the Account Executive

Achieve in meeting or exceeding the developed professional goals set to and agreed upon between yourself and the Sales Manager

Participate in advancing the business through new and innovative ideas

Review of the training program goals with the Sales Manager on a weekly basis to ensure the Sales Trainee is acquiring the skills necessary in becoming a successful Account Executive

Exhibit professional behavior at all times and treating others with respect

Full-time role in an office setting

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong communication, interpersonal, listening and verbal and written communication skills

Highly motivated and results-orientated individual who can work well both independently and within a team environment

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions and training and procedure manuals

Ability to write reports and correspondence

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, proportions, percentages and volume

Strong attention to detail

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in sales/marketing

Two years outside selling or related experience – preferred, but not required

Experience in the corrugated box industry – preferred, but not required

Valid driver’s license, safe driving record and reliable transportation
