Sales Support Representative

Overview

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers in both Arabic and English
• Advise customers on seafood products (fresh, frozen, types of fish/shellfish, cuts, weight, pricing)
• Achieve outlet sales targets
• Process sales transactions accurately (cash, card, POS/weighing scale system)
• Build customer relationships to encourage repeat business and loyalty
• Monitor stock levels of fresh and frozen seafood items
• Check and record expiry/freshness dates, stock
• Ensure proper storage temperature and hygiene standards are maintained
• Coordinate with the factory/warehouse for timely restocking
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Take customer orders for specific seafood items, quantities, or special requests (e.g., cleaning, cutting, packing)
• Coordinate with the processing/packing team to fulfill orders accurately and on time
• Track order status and update customers on availability or delays
• Handle pre-orders for bulk or event-based seafood purchases
• Respond to customer questions on product origin, freshness, pricing, and availability
• Handle complaints (e.g., quality concerns) professionally and escalate when needed
• Provide after-sales support.

Language Skills

• Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English (mandatory)

Experience & Education

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in retail sales, preferably in seafood, fresh food, or grocery retail
• High school diploma or equivalent
