Role overview

Lead sales support strategy for ABB's Process Industries business across Australia and the Pacific Islands.

Provide technical and commercial leadership for proposals, bids, customer engagement and commercial performance.

The work model for the role is onsite.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Spares, Bids and Proposals teams.
  • Set performance targets, monitor progress and drive corrective actions.
  • Improve RFQ, pricing, governance and bid management processes.
  • Develop competitive proposals using appropriate direct, partnership, consortium and channel models.
  • Review customer offer terms and support bid or no-bid assessments.
  • Provide technical and commercial guidance through presentations, negotiations and solution discussions.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in sales operations, bids, proposals or commercial teams in process industries.
  • Experience in sales, business development or commercial management within automation, electrification, digitalisation or process control.
  • Experience improving sales systems, governance processes and performance metrics.
  • Technical knowledge of industrial automation and electrification solutions, including DCS, PLCs, drives and process control systems.
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Strong commercial acumen, communication, stakeholder management and people leadership skills.

About the division

ABB's Process Industries Division serves mining, minerals processing, metals, cement, pulp and paper, battery manufacturing, food and beverage and related service industries.

The division integrates automation and electrical systems to improve productivity and reduce capital and operating costs.

Solutions include control systems, drives, motors, sensors, actuators, field instruments and digitalisation technologies.
