Role Description

The Sales Manager – Chemicals & Petrochemicals | Africa Market is a Full-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work from home.

The role focuses on developing and executing sales strategies for petrochemical products across key African markets.

Daily responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new customers, managing relationships with existing clients, and negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery terms.

The Sales Manager will conduct market research, monitor competitor activity, and provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports.

The role also involves coordinating with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveries, manage credit and payment terms, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Proven sales and business development experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, or related industrial sectors, ideally focused on African markets.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, negotiation, and closing deals across diverse cultural and business environments.
  • Solid understanding of international trade, logistics, and basic commercial terms (Incoterms, payment terms, contracts).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Comfort with CRM systems (Microsoft Business Center), MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and digital communication tools to manage remote and hybrid work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical strong experience will also be considered.
  • Ability to work fully independently on his/her vertical, and travel within Africa and the region when required.
