Job Summary
The Sales Engineer is responsible for generating sales opportunities, developing client relationships, and promoting the factory's wood products and joinery solutions. coordinating with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of sales experience in wood manufacturing, joinery, furniture, fit-out, or construction industries.
- Good Knowledge of wood products, joinery manufacturing processes, and interior fit-out works.
- Experience in project sales and tendering processes.
- Familiarity with project specifications and tendering procedures.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the construction, interior fit-out, hospitality, commercial, and residential sectors.
- Promote the factory's wood products and services, including:
- Wooden doors
- Kitchen cabinets
- Wardrobes and closets
- Decorative wall paneling
- Furniture and custom joinery
- Wooden cladding and architectural woodwork
- Hotel, office, and retail fit-out works
- · Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- · Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, architects, developers, and
- project owners.
- · Achieve assigned sales targets and business development objectives.
- · Coordinate with estimation, engineering, and production departments to ensure accurate pricing and technical compliance.
- · Provide technical advice and product recommendations to clients.
- · Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions.
- · Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent after-sales support.
- · Address client concerns, complaints, and technical inquiries promptly.
- · Ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
- · Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- · Identify new market opportunities and potential projects.
- · Maintain an updated database of customers, consultants, contractors, and ongoing projects.
- · Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports and forecasts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support.
- · Develop long-term relationships with key accounts
Skills
- Strong sales, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to read and understand architectural and shop drawings.
- Knowledge of joinery materials, finishes, and manufacturing methods.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
- Valid driving license.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in custom joinery, furniture manufacturing, and interior fit-out projects.
- Strong network with contractors, consultants, architects, interior designers, and developers.
- Experience in the local construction and fit-out market is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality, commercial, residential, and government projects.
