Sales Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Alfa Laval products and services by adhering to established sales processes and guidelines.
• Analyze market insights and customer buying behaviors to develop sales plans aligned with business division strategy and targets. This includes understanding shipyard business, particularly in supporting new building inquiries commercially and technically.
• Identify and manage leads from the market and customers, converting them into business opportunities, and owning the Lead to Cash Process.
• Manage and maintain documents related to new building ships, from quotation to delivery, including technical documents, manuals, ship design documents, change requests, and OSP.
• Engage actively in the market through customer visits, meetings, and interactions to understand customer needs and highlight the value of products and services.
• Manage commercial operations by overseeing the customer grid and proactive planning using internal tools, while building and maintaining a strong customer network.
• Understand customer requirements and propose solutions that deliver customer value.
• Utilize CRM and other tools consistently and effectively to support the sales process and decision-making.
• Act as an active member of the Marine service team, fostering a team spirit mindset.
• Work proactively and systematically to serve customers, prioritizing customer needs in line with Alfa Laval's service culture.
• Drive digitalization initiatives to expand market presence and enhance customer engagement.
• Ensure close coordination with the Service Department, Service Operations, and the International Marine Service Organization.

Qualifications and Experience

• Professional Engineer or science graduate.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Marine Industry.
• Solid industry network within the Marine & Shipyard business.
