About Jomablue

Jomablue provides enterprise event technology for complex, high-stakes events.

Its customers include global technology companies and Australian brands.

The role

The Senior Sales Development Representative reports to the Head of Sales and owns top-of-funnel research, outbound activity, and qualified first meetings for Account Executives.

This is a pure outbound pipeline-generation role without a closing quota.

The role prospects into event and marketing teams across enterprise event platform and Sponsor & Exhibitor Manager solutions.

Target markets include Australia, ASEAN, and the UK.

When and where

  • This is a full-time role based in the Ultimo, NSW office with a hybrid working model.

Your duties

  • Research and map target accounts and identify event, marketing, and sponsorship stakeholders.
  • Run email, phone, and LinkedIn outbound campaigns against agreed target lists and sequences.
  • Qualify leads and route them to the appropriate Account Executive within agreed service levels.
  • Conduct structured first-call qualification and book meetings that meet handover standards.
  • Prepare pre-meeting briefs for Account Executives.
  • Maintain accurate contact, account, and activity data in Salesforce and sales engagement tools.
  • Use AI and sales tools to research, personalize, and prioritize outreach at scale.
  • Share prospect feedback, objections, and market signals with sales and marketing.
  • Participate in weekly pipeline and outbound reviews.

Success measures

Success is measured by qualified meetings booked, meeting-to-opportunity conversion, pipeline value sourced, outbound activity and response rates, and CRM data accuracy.

The role supports predictable qualified pipeline, improving meeting quality, disciplined handovers, and progression toward an Account Executive role.

Essential skills and experience

  • Have 2-3 years in sales and business development.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Be comfortable on the phone and resilient to rejection.
  • Be organised, process-driven, and able to work a daily cadence without supervision.
  • Show curiosity about event operations and buying decisions.
  • Use Claude and modern sales tools confidently, or learn them quickly.
  • Demonstrate high personal accountability.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with Salesforce, Apollo, or similar sales engagement platforms is desirable.
  • Exposure to events, SaaS, or professional services is desirable.
  • Familiarity with a structured qualification framework such as MEDDPICC is desirable.

What Jomablue offers

  • Benefits include subsidised ClassPass access, mentorship, feedback, approved external training support, and dedicated leave days.
  • The company offers a flexible hybrid model and work from anywhere for up to six weeks per calendar year.
  • Employees have access to regular learning sessions, team events, and an in-building gym, sauna, and golf simulator.
