Role overview
The Sales Data Analyst supports Smith’s Tampa sales organization by building AI-assisted workflows, optimizing data processes, and improving sales operations efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Build and refine AI-powered tools and automations using ChatGPT, Claude, or other LLM platforms.
- Create dashboards, reports, and data models in Excel using pivot tables, formulas, macros, and data visualization.
- Clean, organize, and analyze sales data for forecasting, pipeline visibility, and performance tracking.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and propose AI- or Excel-based improvements.
- Collaborate with sales representatives and managers to deliver actionable insights.
- Improve CRM data quality, reporting templates, and internal documentation.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field.
- Strong Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, formulas, and charts; macros are a plus.
- Experience using ChatGPT, Claude, or similar AI tools to automate tasks or build workflows.
- Computer confidence, digital-tool fluency, and ability to learn systems quickly.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, clear communication with non-technical stakeholders, curiosity, and initiative.
Preferred qualifications
- Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot is preferred, not required.
- Basic understanding of sales operations or pipeline management is preferred, not required.
