Overview

The Sales Associate cum Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, achieving sales targets, handling cashiering operations, and ensuring accurate processing of transactions.

The role requires maintaining showroom standards, promoting products, and delivering a positive shopping experience to customers.

Sales & Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable products.
  • Promote products, offers, and ongoing promotions to maximize sales.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback effectively.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service at all times.

Cashiering & Billing

  • Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently.
  • Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, and credit notes as per company policies.
  • Maintain proper cash handling procedures and ensure cash balances at the end of each shift.
  • Prepare daily sales and cash collection reports.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and documented.

Store Operations

  • Maintain attractive product displays and showroom cleanliness.
  • Assist in stock receiving, replenishment, and inventory counts.
  • Ensure products are properly tagged and displayed.
  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages to management.
  • Support visual merchandising activities and promotional displays.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

& Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma/Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in retail sales and cashiering.
  • Experience in furniture, home décor, electronics, fashion, or retail industry is preferred.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in POS systems.
  • Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Presentable appearance and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
