Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Selling products or services to customers and representing the brand. This can include asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships.
• Assist customers find and select items in the store.
• Check for stock at other branches or order requested stock for customers.
• Provide customers with information about items.
• Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
• Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
• Keep track of inventory.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Participating in company meetings with sales managers and other sales reps.
• Provide feedback on customer preferences, product performance, and sales trends.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures related to cash handling and sales.
• Maintain a high level of awareness for potential theft or fraudulent activities.

Typical Duties Include

• Greets and interacts with customers.
• Consults with customers to understand their needs and preferences related to merchandise.
• Demonstrates and explains merchandise, selecting and suggesting options suitable for the customer’s needs.
• Answers customer's questions about merchandise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change e.t.c
• Quick learner, keen to learn and improve skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in retail
• A diploma or degree in sales, marketing, commerce or a related field would be advantageous.

Skills Required

• Previous experience in retail sales and cash handling is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Positive attitude and a customer-centric approach.
