Role overview
Perladia General Trading is hiring a motivated, professional, results-driven Sales Associate in Dubai.
The role focuses on business development and closing sales across food products, laboratory equipment, medical laboratory supplies, and related consumables.
Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire clients through market research, networking, cold calling, email outreach, and client visits.
- Build and maintain customer relationships; promote and sell the company's products.
- Support food trading operations, including import/export requirements, registration, permits, customs clearance, and regulatory documentation.
- Understand laboratory product specifications, applications, and customer requirements.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, follow up on inquiries, and close deals.
- Expand the customer base, achieve sales targets, and maintain accurate sales activity records.
- Coordinate order processing with suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer demand for growth opportunities.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience, preferably in food trading, food import/export, laboratory equipment, or medical laboratory supplies.
- Practical knowledge of food import/export procedures, permits, product registration, customs documentation, and UAE regulatory requirements.
- Laboratory equipment, instruments, consumables, and related product knowledge is highly desirable.
- Excellent spoken and written English; strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Ability to generate leads, approach clients, build trust, and close sales independently.
- Professional appearance, confident body language, good posture, and a positive, approachable attitude.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, organized, and able to work independently; strong interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools are an advantage.
- A valid UAE driving licence and existing UAE client network are advantages.
