The Sales Advisor is responsible for driving used vehicle sales at CARIVA by guiding customers through the buying journey — from vehicle assessment and recommendation through to negotiation, financing coordination, and after-sale follow-up.
The role requires a self-driven, customer-focused individual who can build trust quickly, close deals effectively, and contribute to the dealership's marketing and inventory efforts.
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Engage potential buyers in person, by phone, and online, actively listening to understand their budget, needs, and preferences to recommend the most suitable vehicles from inventory
- Deliver confident, well-structured sales pitches that highlight each vehicle's value proposition and address customer objections
- Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and financing/payment options with customers, balancing flexibility with the dealership's profit margin targets
- Guide customers through the entire buying journey — from inquiry and test drive to final paperwork — ensuring a smooth, positive experience that builds trust and encourages referrals
Vehicle Assessment & Inventory Management
- Conduct thorough, hands-on assessments of used vehicles, inspecting condition, mileage, and service history to accurately determine value and ensure transparency with customers
- Maintain an accurate, well-organized inventory record, regularly updating availability, condition, and pricing status for internal tracking and customer inquiries
Marketing & Market Awarenes

- Support marketing initiatives by promoting vehicle listings on social media and online platforms, and participating in local events to help generate leads
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and promotional activity to help position CARIVA’S inventory and offers competitively
Transaction & Documentation
- Coordinate with the finance team to facilitate smooth transaction processing, ensuring all sales documentation and paperwork are completed accurately and on time
Customer Retention & Relationship Management
- Conduct structured post-sale follow-ups to gather feedback, resolve concerns, and nurture long-term customer relationships that support repeat business and referrals
Tools & Efficiency
- Apply basic AI tools (e.g. for vehicle research, marketing content, or customer follow-up messaging) to work more efficiently and stay responsive to leads
