Position summary
Develop, optimize, and govern technology solutions supporting the corporate safety program.
Collaborate with stakeholders on scalable solutions for compliance, reporting, risk management, and informed decision-making.
Systems and safety technology
- Analyze business needs and processes; identify system enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements.
- Design, configure, and maintain systems for incidents, inspections, audits, corrective actions, permits, contractor management, observations, and training.
- Build workflows, data structures, automations, and integrations; troubleshoot and improve system performance.
- Support system architecture, upgrades, testing, deployments, and ongoing improvements.
Reporting, governance, and collaboration
- Build dashboards, KPIs, and reports; analyze incident, inspection, training, and compliance data for trends and risks.
- Maintain data governance standards, controls, and quality assurance; monitor system effectiveness and user adoption.
- Work with Safety, HR, Operations, Engineering, IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and coordinate solutions.
- Provide training, technical guidance, change management, and support for audits and compliance reviews.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Technology, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- At least 3 years in systems analysis, business applications, reporting, process improvement, or related technical work.
- Experience configuring, supporting, or enhancing enterprise applications, workflow platforms, and reporting solutions.
- Strong understanding of data structures, business processes, workflow automation, and systems analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication abilities.
Preferred experience
- Experience with Coda, Power Platform, Power BI, or comparable low-code platforms is preferred.
- APIs, webhooks, SQL, JSON, JavaScript, Python, or related technologies are preferred.
- Safety systems, manufacturing, construction, field operations, ISO 45001, enterprise integrations, and multi-site environments are preferred.
Working conditions
- Primarily office-based, with occasional travel to company and customer sites for implementations, training, projects, and stakeholder engagement.
- Flexibility to collaborate across locations and time zones is required.
