Safety Supervisor

Role Overview

Safety Management and Team Leadership

• Implement company and estate safety policies and monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the safety system.
• Manage up to five Safety Officers, schedule their work hours, and assign duties according to departmental priorities.
• Ensure personnel receive safety briefings, orientation, and induction training and maintain accurate training records.

Emergency Response and Equipment

• Respond to fire alarms and medical emergencies and manage firefighting, first aid, and evacuation as required.
• Develop inspection programmes and checklists for firefighting equipment and life-saving appliances and ensure their servicing is up to date.
• Coordinate inspections of firefighting equipment, life-saving appliances, and first aid equipment; keep first aid kits and other safety equipment operational.
• Organise and participate in the emergency response team and train Safety Officers to handle fires, accidents, and injuries.

Risk, Documentation, and Training

• Implement relevant Operations Manual requirements and conduct document reviews and risk assessments to keep safety paperwork and emergency plans current.
• Conduct onsite training and inductions and help staff prepare estate-specific safety procedures and checklists.
• Prepare templates for documented operations and safety reporting; review safety reports, acknowledge incident reports, and follow up to close them out.

Maintenance and Coordination

• Support technical and estate personnel on safety-equipment maintenance and oversee external contractors' work for quality and health and safety compliance.
• Attend meetings with CPPA and contractors where safety is discussed and attend visits by CPPA Safety Officers and Royal Clinic Inspectors.
• Carry out routine inspections of swimming pools and water features to check safety equipment and servicing compliance.
• Maintain professional communication and service with estate departments, owner representatives, and personnel.

Background, Skills, and Abilities

• Degree-level education in occupational health and safety and experience with ISO 9001 compliance and certification are preferred.
• A recognized advanced first aid qualification and a minimum fitness requirement are required.
• A full driving licence and credible health and safety experience, including operations experience, are required.
• A track record of project management and experience overseeing a maintenance team are required.
• Personnel management skills, team leadership, communication, problem-solving, organisation, and workload-prioritisation abilities are required.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and ability to use Microsoft Office and other industry-standard computer programmes are required.

Contract and Package

• The position is offered on a renewable 12-month contract.
• Package includes live-in accommodation with expenses paid, medical insurance, and a SAR 5,000 annual flight allowance.
• The package includes one month's annual vacation.
