Key Responsibilities
Responsible for implementation and compliance of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards at factory setup, and oversee machinery installation, commissioning, and operational activities in accordance with UAE labor laws, municipality regulations, and company HSE policies.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, company policies, and international safety standards.
- Monitor all factory setup and conduct routine inspections and safety audits.
- Identify unsafe acts and conditions and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Hazard Identification, and Risk Assessments.
- Ensure implementation of control measures before work execution.
- Maintain risk assessment records and safety documentation.
- Conduct HSE induction training for employees
- Deliver toolbox talks and safety awareness sessions.
- Promote a positive safety culture across the workplace.
- Ensure emergency response procedures are implemented.
- Coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises.
- Monitor firefighting equipment, first aid kits, and emergency exits.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
- NEBOSH IGC certification mandatory/preferred.
- IOSH certification is an advantage.
- Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and industrial safety standards.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in UAE industrial, factory, manufacturing, or construction projects.
- Experience in factory setup and commissioning activities preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of UAE HSE practices and standards.
- Familiarity with OSHA, ISO 45001, and UAE labor safety regulations.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to conduct training and safety inspections.
- Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
