Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Dubai.
As a Safety Officer at Stantec, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our employees, clients, and the general public on projects associated with Stormwater & Drainage, Flood Alleviation, Wastewater Networks, Water distribution networks, Pumping Station, and Recycling Plant.
Key accountabilities
- for this position include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for overall site Safety health and environment management.
- Shall prepare site safety plan & procedures for site and implement safety policy.
- Shall conduct safety meetings at least once every month and conduct the site safety Audit and report that to the management.
- Health and safety supervisors conduct safety Training and other necessary training as fit by the management.
- Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections and documents them for reference.
- Consult with workers and management on the best approach to deliver a safe working environment for all workers.
- Conduct risk assessment program for the site work activities.
- Conduct Audit for the site, contractor and sub-contractor, Raise NCR, Accident, Incident Report.
Client Service Management
- Internal and external client liaison
- Ability to build and maintain safety environment at site.
- Experience in infra project HSE supervision Management.
- Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
- Complete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
- Maintain the health and safety environment at workplace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in a safety role.
- Experience with Water utilities work.
- Certification in NEBOSH General/ Construction Certificate or equivalent, OSHAD - Qudorat official Registration
- Nakheel experience is preferred.
