Safety Officer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and project HSE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness training programs.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and prepare reports.
• Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and drills.
• Work closely with project management, supervisors, and workers to promote a strong safety culture.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in the UAE construction industry.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• Knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and construction safety requirements.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHAD, IOSH, or additional HSE certifications.
• Experience in building construction projects.
• UAE Driving License is an advantage.
