Safety Officer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• **Safety Compliance:** Ensure compliance with UAE labor laws, HSE regulations, and company policies.
• **Risk Assessment:** Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification to prevent workplace accidents.
• **Safety Training:** Provide safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
• **Incident Investigation:** Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; maintain records and report findings with corrective actions.
• **PPE Compliance:** Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by employees.
• **Emergency Preparedness:** Develop and implement emergency response plans, fire safety procedures, and evacuation drills.
• **Site Inspections:** Conduct routine safety inspections and audits of the workplace to identify and mitigate hazards.
• **Reporting & Documentation:** Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation as per UAE regulatory requirements.
• **Coordination:** Work with project managers, engineers, and government authorities to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• **Education:** Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• **Certifications:** NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent HSE certifications are mandatory.
• **Experience:** Minimum 0**-2 years** of experience as a Safety Officer, preferably in the UAE.
• **Knowledge:** Familiarity with UAE labor laws, HSE regulations, and international safety standards.
• **Skills:** Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• **Language:** Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is a plus.
• **Physical Fitness:** Ability to work on-site and conduct field inspections in varying conditions.
