Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and procedures at project sites and ensure compliance with Qatar regulations, client requirements, and project HSE plans.
- Conduct inspections, identify hazards, follow up corrective actions, and stop unsafe work when imminent risk is present.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions; monitor personal protective equipment use.
- Prepare risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis and monitor permit-to-work activities, including hot work, work at height, and confined-space entry.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor housekeeping, safe access and storage, equipment use, scaffolding, ladders, electrical safety, lifting, and work-at-height activities.
- Maintain HSE documentation and coordinate safety matters with project engineers, supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire prevention, evacuation drills, and first-aid arrangements; report HSE performance and non-compliance.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant HSE certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent, as required by the project.
- At least two years of relevant experience in Qatar; construction or MEP experience is preferred.
- Good knowledge of Qatar construction safety requirements and site HSE practices.
- Experience conducting inspections, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Good English communication, reporting, and coordination skills; additional languages are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site teams.
Pay
- Pay is QAR 3,000–5,000 per month.
