Safety Officer

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of health & safety principles and practices, including relevant regulations and standards.
• Experience in occupational health, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and workplace health controls.
• Proven ability to conduct accident investigations, root cause analysis, and documentation of incidents and near misses.
• Familiarity with security procedures on construction or landscaping sites, including access control and protection of people and assets.
• Experience delivering safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions to diverse site teams.
• Previous experience as a safety officer or HSE professional in construction, landscaping, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant HSE certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to influence and coach site personnel at all levels.
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, manage multiple priorities, and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and local authority requirements is an advantage.
