Safety Engineer (Executive)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards across project sites.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and review Risk Assessments (RA), Method Statements (MS), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions, and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training programs for employees and workers.
• Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
• Maintain HSE records, reports, statistics, and documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation drills, and fire safety activities.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities regarding HSE matters.
• Monitor compliance with environmental requirements and waste management procedures.
• Support project teams in achieving company and client safety objectives.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.

Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in HSE management within construction, fit-out, MEP, or contracting projects.
• Experience working on construction sites in Saudi Arabia.
• Familiarity with Saudi Labor Law, HSE regulations, and international safety standards.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and risk management.
• Ability to prepare HSE reports and conduct incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple project sites.
