Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent combinations of education, training and related experience.
- 1-2+ years of Construction Safety experience, preferably Heavy Civil and Utility.
- Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
- Familiarity with Job Hazard and Job Safety Analyses.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including a proven ability to organize, manipulate, and manage large, complex data sets and spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to accomplish goals.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities at a time.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and able to communicate effectively with field crews and project staff.
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
- Major Responsibilities:
- Support the administrative maintenance of project and corporate safety records, including inspections, safety forms, certifications, trainings, and reports.
- Track worker certifications, trainings, and credentials.
- Review Job Hazard Analyses with input from project teams.
- Help schedule safety trainings and record attendance.
- Assist with data entry, document preparation, filing, and recordkeeping.
- Visit job sites periodically to assess compliance with company safety protocols through safety observations and inspections.
- Assist the Safety staff and project teams to follow up on corrective actions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent combinations of education, training and related experience.
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
