About Circus
Circus is a Munich-headquartered food-tech company pioneering autonomous food production.
Our robotic kitchens combine cutting-edge robotics, AI, and culinary craft to redefine how food is prepared, accessed, and experienced.
We are now expanding our operations into the Gulf region, with the UAE as our regional launchpad.
As part of this expansion, we are building a local team that will keep our robotic kitchens running across the GCC.
The Role
As Robot Kitchen Technician – Operations & Maintenance, you are the technical lead on the ground for our UAE operation.
You own the daily operation, maintenance, and commissioning of our robotic kitchen systems — and you are the first line of defence when something needs fixing.
Beyond hands-on technical work, you will also build and manage our local spare parts inventory and supply chain from scratch, ensuring parts availability and maximum system uptime.
This is a foundational role at the sharp end of our UAE rollout, working closely with Product, Hardware, and Software teams.
Please note:
This is a local hire.
We are looking for candidates who are already living and working in the UAE.
Applications from outside the UAE will not be considered at this stage.

- Commission and technically onboard new customer sites across the UAE and wider GCC
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules and perform inspections of robotic, mechanical, electrical, and sensor systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation faults on-site; escalate complex issues to Munich-based engineering when needed
- Respond to equipment breakdowns, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Assist with software updates, system upgrades, and calibration under guidance from engineering teams
- Maintain thorough service records and documentation to support continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and safety procedures including lockout/tagout requirements
- Train operators and support knowledge transfer as the local team grows
Inventory & Supply Chain
- Set up and manage the UAE spare parts inventory and technical warehouse from scratch
- Define and maintain minimum stock levels for critical components to ensure availability ahead of planned and reactive maintenance
- Coordinate replenishment, lead times, and new component requirements with Munich-based engineering and supply chain
- Identify local and regional suppliers for consumables and components; build vendor relationships where relevant
- Track stock movements, tooling, and equipment across field and warehouse locations
