Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai for a Roads and Wet Utilities / Dry Utilities Civil 3D Modeler.
The role involves creating, developing, and updating detailed 3D models for road networks, wet utilities (such as water, sewer, and stormwater systems), and dry utilities (such as power, telecom, and gas) using Autodesk Civil 3D and related BIM tools.
The modeler will interpret engineering drawings and specifications, coordinate with engineers and other disciplines, and ensure that models are accurate, clash-free, and aligned with project standards.
Daily tasks include preparing plan and profile drawings, cross sections, and details, as well as performing model-based quantity take-offs and supporting design reviews.
The role also includes maintaining model documentation, adhering to BIM execution plans, and collaborating with project teams to resolve design and coordination issues.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D for roads and utilities modeling, including corridors, pipe networks, and grading.
- Hands-on experience with BIM processes and tools (e.g., Navisworks, Revit, or similar) for coordination, clash detection, and model management.
- Solid understanding of roads and highways design fundamentals, including alignments, profiles, typical sections, and earthwork principles.
- Knowledge of wet utilities design and modeling (water supply, sewerage, stormwater) and dry utilities (power, telecom, gas) within an infrastructure context.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, and translate them into accurate, constructible models.
- Experience preparing plan and profile drawings, cross sections, detail drawings, and model-based quantity take-offs.
- Familiarity with relevant local and international infrastructure design standards and best practices.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams on-site in Dubai.
- Organized, detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Diploma or bachelor
- GCC experience is preferred
