  • Position Highlights
  • Spencer Hospital is a rural hospital located in northwest Iowa employing over 500+ employees. Positions at Spencer Hospital are not affiliated with Avera; however, we collaborate to provide services to the communities we serve. Employment offers, if accepted, are exclusively with Spencer Hospital.
  • Spencer Hospital Surgery Center performs a multitude of specialties including: general, orthopedics, ophthalmology, urology, ENT, and endoscopy averaging 550+ surgeries per month. Surgery business hours are Mon-Fri with minimal on call weekend and holiday rotations.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide individualized nursing care in the Operating Room area
  • Assumes the responsibility for the outcome of nursing care during a specified work period
  • Collaborates with all available nursing personnel to provide total patient care
  • Must have knowledge of and utilize appropriate age-related patient protocols relating to the physical and psychological needs of patients

Requirements:

  • One year experience as an Surgery RN Circulator preferred
  • Must be a caring communicator, flexible, able to multitask and be comfortable with technological systems
  • Active IA RN license or compact state
  • BLS and ACLS are required or at time of hire (in-house education provided)
  • Schedule - Two Shifts Available:
  • 70 hours a pay period
  • Mon-Fri; 6:30a-5p
  • Minimal on-call weeknights and weekend rotation
  • The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
