Overview
We are hiring an experienced
Risk Modeling Consultant
for an urgent onsite engagement in Doha, Qatar with a leading consulting firm.
The role focuses on building
forecasting models
and
macro stress testing frameworks
for a banking client.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement
- liquidity forecasting models
- to project cash flows and funding needs
- Build and enhance
- macro stress testing models
- across key risk areas
- Design and run stress scenarios covering:
- Credit risk
- Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book
- Operational risk
- Translate business and regulatory requirements into quantitative models
- Analyze model outputs and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Support model validation, testing (UAT), and documentation
- Collaborate with business, risk, and technology teams
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in
- banking risk, treasury, or quantitative modeling
- Hands-on experience in
- liquidity forecasting and/or stress testing models
- Strong understanding of:
- Credit risk modeling concepts (PD, LGD, EAD)
- IRRBB
- Operational risk frameworks
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python / R / SQL / Excel
- Experience working with large datasets and financial models
- Familiarity with risk or ALM systems is a plus
Preferred
- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles
- Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as Basel III
- Prior experience in stress testing or regulatory reporting
