Job Summary
Responsible for safe rigging, lifting, and movement of loads using cranes and lifting equipment under supervision of Lifting Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform rigging activities for lifting operations
- Select and inspect slings, shackles, hooks, and lifting gear
- Assist in setting up cranes and lifting equipment
- Follow lifting plan and instructions from Lifting Supervisor
- Guide crane operators during lifting using hand signals or radio communication
- Ensure proper weight distribution and load balance
- Inspect rigging equipment before use
- Report any defects or unsafe conditions immediately
- Maintain safety compliance during all lifting activities
Requirements
- Valid **Rigger Level 2 certification**
- Experience in construction / oil & gas lifting operations
- Good understanding of rigging techniques and safety procedures
- Ability to communicate clearly during lifting operations
- Physically fit for field work
