Retail Stocker

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Perform inventory counts and help maintain correct stock levels.
• Receive and verify stock replenishments from the warehouse.
• Process inventory counts, internal transfers, spoilage transactions, and related inventory documentation.
• Support discrepancy checks, spot checks, and stock control activities.
• Assist with urgent orders, stock requests, and internal transfers.
• Support cashiers with price checks, barcodes, and product replacements when needed.
• Keep stores and stockrooms clean, organized, replenished, and free from hazards.
• Safely operate ladders, pallet jacks, trolleys, and buggies.
• Communicate inventory concerns, operational needs, and visual merchandising requests to the team.
• Participate in team briefings and training, support colleagues, and stay informed about products and promotions.

Essential qualifications

• Higher secondary education or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of inventory processes.
• Moderate verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to carry and lift items and safely operate required equipment.
• Previous inventory experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Desirable qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory or stock-related operations.
• Experience using inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of inventory processes.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
