Retail Sales Agent

Role purpose

Principal accountabilities

• Maintain a clean, professional front counter and greet and serve customers professionally.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and handle cash and the cash float correctly.
• Use the SPS system to complete air waybills in line with company standards.
• Meet perfect shipment criteria and maintain suitable displays of brochures and tariffs.
• Provide accurate information and advice about shipment acceptance and carriage.
• Security-screen shipments, act on dangerous goods shipments, and hold consignee-collect shipments when appropriate.
• Keep card, weighing, and computer equipment operational; accurately upload SPS disk information at day's end.
• Review and reconcile Cash Admin Applications daily and report daily cash collections.
• Reconcile gateway payments and perform related general ledger and accounting tasks.
• Proactively address cash and duty reconciliation issues and back up the team on finance tasks during leave and peak periods.

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office proficiency is required; advanced MS Office and Excel skills are specified.
• Ability to achieve sales targets and overcome challenges.
• Previous retail sales experience is preferred.
• Effective problem-solving skills to identify and correct financial discrepancies.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team, using own initiative.
