Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, refraction, and vision tests.
• Assess visual needs and recommend corrective solutions, lenses, frames, and contact lenses.
• Educate customers about lens options, coatings, contact lens care, and eye health.
• Support retail sales with professional product recommendations.
• Maintain patient records and comply with DHA regulations and company procedures.
• Deliver customer service, build relationships, and work with store teams on service and sales objectives.
• Stay updated on optical products, technologies, and industry developments.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optometry and a valid DHA Optometrist License or DHA Eligibility Letter.
• Optical retail experience, including at least 2 years of optical retail sales experience.
• Experience in eye testing and contact lens fitting.
• English is required; strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in retail are required.

Preferred qualifications and skills

• Sales experience with eyeglasses, lenses, and sunglasses is preferred.
• Arabic language skills are advantageous.
• Optical retail chain or UAE optical retail experience is advantageous.
• Experience recommending lenses, frames, and contact lenses is preferred; familiarity with insurance and vision testing procedures is beneficial.
