Role summary
Front Desk Assistant at The Card Co's DIFC retail location, serving as a welcoming customer-facing representative.
The role combines customer service, retail sales and payments, POS work, reporting, and stock organization.
Key responsibilities
- Welcome walk-in customers and handle phone and WhatsApp enquiries, messages, and follow-ups.
- Support sales, recommend products and services, and upsell where appropriate.
- Process payments, issue receipts or invoices, and use the POS system for closing and basic reconciliation.
- Maintain daily Excel sales reports and trackers and submit updates.
- Restock, organize, label, and count stock; maintain housekeeping in reception and customer-facing areas.
Requirements
- Prior customer-facing retail experience is required.
- Confidence with POS systems and accurate payment handling.
- Strong Excel skills, including data entry, basic formulas, sorting, and filtering.
- Excellent communication and a professional, presentable manner.
- Organization, reliability, multitasking, and a friendly, proactive, customer-focused approach.
Working pattern
- The schedule is six days a week with rotating nine-hour shifts.
- Additional hours, including weekends and public holidays, may be required for the retail location.
