Restaurant Supervisor

We’re looking for a Restaurant & Bar Supervisor to join the team at Bishopstrow – someone who can confidently lead a restaurant service, jump behind the bar when needed and help us create the kind of experience guests remember.

You might already be a Restaurant Supervisor, Bar Supervisor or experienced Bartender looking for your next step.

What matters most to us is that you’ve got good hands-on bar experience, confidence with cocktails, wines and spirits, and the personality to lead a team.

As our Restaurant & Bar Supervisor, you'll be right at the heart of the action.

You'll:

Lead restaurant and bar shifts, keeping service running smoothly

Support our Restaurant & Bar Manager with the day-to-day running of the department

Get hands-on behind the bar – cocktails, wines, spirits, beers and everything in between

Help maintain excellent standards of drink preparation and presentation

Recommend drinks and confidently talk guests through our offering

Support and train the team to improve their own bar and service knowledge

Keep an eye on stock, wastage, cleanliness and bar setup

Lead by example during busy services

Help with inductions, training, rotas and team development

Deal confidently with guest requests and resolve issues when they arise

Share great feedback and keep the team motivated

Bring your own ideas and experience – we genuinely want to hear them

You'll ideally have experience in a quality hotel, restaurant, cocktail bar or similar hospitality environment.

Most importantly, you'll have:

Strong bar experience

Confidence making cocktails

Good knowledge of wines, spirits and drinks service

Previous experience supervising or leading a shift

Great guest service skills

Confidence working across both the restaurant and bar

A positive, hands-on approach

The ability to stay calm when it gets busy

A desire to learn, develop and progress
