Qualifications
- Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Required Credential(s):
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- One or more of the following:
- Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Preferred Credential(s):
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Education
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Drive clinical excellence by establishing clear departmental goals that elevate patient care standards and align with the health system's vision.
- Coordinate holistic patient care journeys through active collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, physicians and families to ensure superior clinical outcomes.
- Empower and lead clinical staff through active mentorship, transparent performance management and effective scheduling to cultivate an engaged team.
- Optimize unit operations by managing departmental budgets, vendor partnerships and regulatory standards to maintain a safe, resource-efficient care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 2 years of experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
