Contract Duration : 12 to 24 Months

Engineer may perform the following over the duration of the engagement:

The assigned resident resources will be available to support structured discovery and assessment activities with CUSTOMER stakeholders, in order to gather the technical and operational information required for the migration initiative.

Within their capabilities, the resources may perform activities such as:

· Participating in and facilitating discovery workshops with relevant technical and business stakeholders

· Supporting the collection and organization of technical, architectural, and security requirements

· Reviewing the existing on-premises infrastructure environment with the customer’s SMEs

· Assisting in assessing workload readiness for migration

· Helping identify application dependencies and potential migration constraints

· Capturing observations and inputs to be used by the customer in defining the migration strategy

Based on the outputs of the customer-led discovery and assessment, the resident resources can contribute to the development of architecture and design frameworks that support the cloud foundation and migration activities.

Their involvement may include:

· Supporting the definition of the Alibaba Cloud Landing Zone structure

· Assisting in defining network segmentation, addressing strategy, and routing architecture

· Contributing to the development of compute, storage, and database architecture models

· Providing input on migration methodologies and approaches for workloads and databases

· Assisting in the preparation of architectural documentation and supporting diagrams as directed by the customer

The resident resources will assist in implementing network components defined during the architecture and design phase in order to enable connectivity and segmentation within the cloud environment.

Within their scope of capability, activities may include:

· Supporting the configuration of virtual networks and subnet structures

· Assisting with routing configurations and segmentation policies

· Helping implement security groups and network access control mechanisms

· Supporting configuration of external connectivity components including Elastic IPs, NAT Gateway, and VPN Gateway

· Assisting with Cloud Enterprise Network connectivity

· Supporting Express Connect integration configuration (excluding SIP service provisioning)

The resident resources will support migration activities for targeted applications from the STC on-premises infrastructure to the cloud environment.

Their support may include:

· Assisting in planning and coordinating migration waves for approximately 20 applications

· Supporting VM-level workload migration using appropriate migration utilities

· Assisting in database migration activities toward managed database services

· Supporting application cutover coordination with customer teams

· Providing hands-on migration execution assistance and basic validation support

The resident resources will assist in provisioning cloud infrastructure components required to host migrated workloads.

Their activities may include:

· Supporting the provisioning and configuration of compute instances and storage resources

· Assisting in the creation and configuration of database instances

· Helping provision object, file, and block storage services

· Supporting validation of the availability and basic configuration of provisioned resources

· Assisting in configuration verification against the customer-approved architecture

The resident resources will support the implementation of baseline security configurations for the cloud environment.

Within their capabilities, they may:

· Assist in configuring security policies using the cloud security management platform

· Support implementation of firewall controls for inbound and outbound traffic

· Assist with deployment and configuration of SSL certificates for secure communications

· Support validation that security configurations align with the defined architecture

The resident resources will assist in configuring baseline backup policies to support data protection for migrated workloads.

Their activities may include:

· Supporting configuration of backup policies using the cloud backup service

· Assisting with establishing VM-level backup policies

· Helping verify basic backup policy functionality and configuration
