About the Role
- Mott MacDonald is looking for a Resident Marine Engineer for the construction supervision works for a Marine project in UAE.
- Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Assist the Project Director with project management whilst leading and covering all engineering disciplines across the project’s requirements, during design and supervision
- Direct the supervision, coordination, compliance of all works including Marine development, site improvements and construction supervision.
- Monitor progress of the project against the agreed schedule
- Check the Contractor’s submission and respond to their request for information
- Observe site safety procedures and actively monitor and report on contractor’s safety performance, raising non-conformance reports when required
- Actively monitor the implementation of contractor’s quality procedures and raise non-conformance reports, as and when required
- Responding for maintaining and enhancing Mott MacDonald’s reputation with the client and developing long term relationships
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to update the client on progress
Candidate Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Marine Engineering (or any relevant engineering discipline) from an accredited university
- Demonstrable experience of working on the Marine projects including site improvements on large construction projects with experience in the UAE and in a similar capacity.
- Experience must include all Health and Safety and Environmental Protection aspects of the construction and operations.
