Role overview
The Research Manager leads research supporting SATIN’s editorial strategy and market understanding.
This is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, with some work-from-home flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct market research on South African tourism trends.
- Design and oversee surveys and questionnaires; analyze data for content and strategic decisions.
- Coordinate research activities and collaborate with editors, writers, and external partners.
- Prepare concise reports, present findings to internal stakeholders, and maintain research databases and documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and market-research expertise to interpret tourism data and industry trends.
- Research skills and experience with questionnaire design.
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings and collaborating across teams.
- Relevant experience in tourism, media, economics, or business analysis is beneficial.
- A related bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Data-analysis tools or survey-platform proficiency and independent project management are advantageous.
- Organization, attention to detail, and proactive problem-solving are desirable.
