Key responsibilities
- Identify commercialization opportunities from research, innovation, and new technologies; conduct market research, competitor analysis, and feasibility assessments.
- Evaluate intellectual property, emerging technologies, and business applications; support technology transfer, licensing, and commercialization initiatives.
- Develop business cases, commercialization plans, and market entry strategies.
- Build relationships with researchers, industry partners, investors, and potential licensees; coordinate partnership discussions, licensing activities, and commercial negotiations.
- Assess market demand, revenue potential, and commercialization risks; collaborate with R&D, Legal, Finance, and Business Development teams.
- Monitor commercialization milestones, project performance, and market outcomes; prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
Requirements
- Experience in research commercialization, technology transfer, innovation management, or business development.
- Strong understanding of market research, business models, and commercialization strategies; strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities; ability to translate technical research into practical commercial opportunities.
- Familiarity with intellectual property, licensing, or technology valuation is an advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with research institutions, startups, or industry partners is advantageous.
