RBC Dominion Securities is seeking a Research Analyst to join an established Portfolio Manager’s team in Vancouver.
The role offers opportunities to build relationships with research professionals, institutional investors, and capital markets professionals in Canada and abroad.
Responsibilities
- Support security selection and develop detailed company-specific and industry macro financial models.
- Maintain sector-specific databases and presentations.
- Maintain relationships with covered companies, investors, and internal Capital Markets colleagues.
- Analyze financial statements, company information, and industry data.
- Assist with research notes and sector reports.
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree focused on business or finance.
- Strong technical and computer skills, including Excel and Python.
- Effective writing, independent work, attention to detail, and solid analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Demonstrated interest in equity and financial markets.
Preferred qualification
- CFA designation or enrollment in the CFA program is preferred.
Compensation
- Expected base salary range is $100,000–$150,000; the posting does not state a salary cadence.
- May be eligible for discretionary or variable incentive payments up to 1.0 times base salary.
Employment details
Full-time, regular, salaried position; 37.5 work hours per week.
