Research Analyst / Research Assistant (Finance)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Gather financial data, review company financial statements, and monitor industry developments and economic indicators.
• Prepare research reports, summarize findings, maintain databases, and organize information for presentations and decisions.
• Support financial modeling, company comparisons, investment research, valuation analysis, and risk and opportunity identification.
• Track market movements and financial news, update research documentation, verify data, and prepare charts and summaries.
• Present analytical findings clearly and collaborate with finance, investment, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting fundamentals, economic concepts, and financial market terminology.
• Ability to collect, organize, interpret, and analyze financial and market data from multiple sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial statements, performance indicators, budgeting, and basic financial modeling.
• Understanding of investment research, market trends, industry analysis, and economic developments.
• Ability to prepare structured reports, analytical summaries, charts, and presentations.
• Familiarity with financial databases, research platforms, and data visualization tools is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills; detail-oriented and proactive.
