Reporting Analyst (Remote)

Role overview

Ad hoc reporting

• Translate stakeholder business questions into accurate analysis with appropriate context.
• Triage and fulfill requests within established service-level targets; maintain a queue and communicate status proactively.
• Flag capacity conflicts and identify recurring requests for automation or standard reports.
• Protect sensitive PHI and/or PII in accordance with company policies, privacy standards, and regulations.

Data quality and process improvement

• Validate, reconcile, and quality-check outputs for accuracy, completeness, and business use.
• Monitor rerun rates, analyze root causes, and work with the data visualization team to close self-service reporting gaps.
• Document report specifications, data dictionaries, and business logic; contribute to data catalog initiatives.

Technical work

• Write production-quality SQL to extract, transform, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Use Python for data wrangling, recurring-process automation, statistical analysis, and lightweight tooling.
• Document queries, logic, and outputs so analyses are reproducible.
• Maintain parameterized report templates and manage competing ad hoc and recurring work.

Preferred qualifications

• 2–5 years of reporting analyst experience, ideally in a client-facing or multi-stakeholder environment in financial services or healthcare.
• Experience managing a high volume of varied requests across stakeholder types.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, including data analytics, information systems, statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or data science.
