What We’re Looking For

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on packaging equipment such as form-fill-seal machines, vacuum sealers, conveyors, case erectors, checkweighers, metal detectors, and labelers.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control system issues to minimize unplanned downtime and ensure continuous packaging operations.
• Maintain compliance with Ready-to-Eat (RTE) facility standards, including strict hygiene, sanitation, and allergen control protocols.
• Support equipment changeovers, calibrations, and line setups based on production requirements.
• Work closely with packaging operators and production leads to identifying recurring issues and implementing long-term solutions.
• Document all maintenance activities using CMMS, including work orders, parts usage, and time tracking.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and food safety policies (GMP, HACCP, SSOPs).
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new packaging equipment or systems.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) and continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
• Participate in daily maintenance meetings and shift hand-offs to ensure consistent communication and accountability.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of maintenance experience in a food manufacturing or packaging environment; RTE facility experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including working knowledge of sensors, motors, drives, pneumatics, and basic PLC logic.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and standard documentation practices.
• Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements, especially in RTE operations.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities under pressure, and support a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Willingness to work swing shift, weekends, or overtime as production demands require.
