Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of experience in residential, commercial, or building renovations
- Experience performing a variety of renovation and repair work, including flooring installation, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, cabinetry, doors, windows, and minor plumbing and electrical work
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment commonly used in renovation and building maintenance
- Experience preparing suites or other spaces for occupancy, including removal of existing fixtures, materials, cabinets, flooring, and renovation debris
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and complete assigned work within established timelines
- Experience working safely with renovation tools, equipment, materials, and products
- Experience working in a residential or multi-unit housing environment an asset
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned renovation and repair tasks
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing and walking for extended periods, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, and moving materials and equipment
- Ability to work in occupied and vacant suites, common areas, and construction environments
- Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Flexible availability with the ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies, as required
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area and properly handle and dispose of renovation debris
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence and reliable transportation or clear drivers abstract
