Remote IT Technician

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide remote support for hardware, software, and common system issues; respond to technical inquiries and help users resolve problems.
• Troubleshoot operating system, application, connectivity, and peripheral issues, and guide users through solutions.
• Assist with software installation, configuration, updates, and routine maintenance; monitor system performance for potential issues.
• Document requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions; escalate complex problems to appropriate IT personnel.
• Assist with user accounts and basic access requests under company policies; follow IT procedures and protect user information.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional IT, Computer Science, or related education is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of computers, operating systems, and common software; familiarity with Windows, internet connectivity, and basic troubleshooting.
• Clear communication, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and willingness to learn remote support tools and IT procedures.
• Ability to manage support requests, follow instructions, and maintain accurate records.
• Previous IT support or technical experience is beneficial but not essential for suitable entry-level candidates.
• Reliable internet access and ability to work independently in a remote environment, where applicable.
