Role Description
The Reliability Manager will oversee the reliability and performance of critical systems, processes, and services that support Expo 2025–related activities from a base in Abu Dhabi.
This part-time, hybrid role involves both on-site work in Abu Dhabi and remote work from home, requiring flexibility to coordinate with international teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring system performance, analyzing incident and failure data, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
The Reliability Manager will develop and maintain reliability plans, standards, and procedures, while collaborating with engineering, operations, IT, and vendor teams to ensure high availability and continuity of services.
The role also includes preparing reliability reports, tracking key performance indicators, supporting risk assessments, and contributing to contingency and emergency response planning.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering, maintenance management, or operations management, with a strong focus on system uptime and performance.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and perform root cause analysis using reliability or performance metrics and tools.
- Experience developing and implementing reliability strategies, preventive maintenance plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineering, IT, operations, and external partners in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to prepare clear reports, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools; familiarity with reliability or asset management software is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, reliability, industrial, systems, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- Experience in large events, infrastructure projects, transportation, utilities, or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- Comfort working in a hybrid setting in Abu Dhabi, with flexibility for occasional meetings across different time zones.
