About This Role

Relationship Manager - Portfolio Coverage – 42703 (Qatari National) Some Careers Grow Faster Than Others. We are seeking an ambitious individual to join the Global Network Banking, Bahrain team as a Relationship Manager, Portfolio Coverage to support the growing business and achieve divisional targets. This role will have internal and external stakeholders. Internal stakeholders may include Sales, Product Development, Risk & Compliance teams. The remit may range from an area within a country or multiple countries.

This position is responsible for working with the Portfolio Coverage team, with accountability for service, risk, sales and operational delivery to achieve highest customer satisfaction through pipeline, sales activity and customer service management.

In This Role, You Will

  • Grow sustainable revenues through targeted acquisition of new quality clients
  • Take Over existing relationships with credit and lending requirements.
  • Deliver excellent banking services and integrate our services into customers' strategic business development processes.
  • Keep abreast of external factors influencing international business e.g. economic, cultural, geographical, procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with product partners to identify and match customer needs with relevant expertise, notably with Global Payments Solutions, Global Banking & Markets, Global Trade & Receivables Finance.
  • Proactively grow international/cross border revenue to achieve the CMB LIB objective.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell group products and services as appropriate and ensure this is concluded successfully for the Bank and the customer.
  • Develop effective strategies to manage customer relationships, anticipate customer needs and provide a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Be an entry-level to junior profile with up to 1 – 2 years of experience in a client facing banking role, or a fresh graduate in Finance
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Show willingness to learn and develop within a Relationship Management and portfolio coverage environment
  • Be comfortable supporting KYC including documentation and reviews
  • Have basic knowledge of finance or banking concepts
