Role overview

Client and business responsibilities

• Manage client relationships end to end, expand portfolios, and develop new business for the branch.
• Serve as the key liaison between the bank and clients, promote wholesale banking products, and deliver customized financial solutions.
• Conduct client communications and business negotiations independently.
• Prepare credit proposals and coordinate client onboarding and document submission.
• Collaborate with credit, risk, product, and operations teams to resolve client needs efficiently.
• Monitor portfolio quality and support market research and strategic planning for China-UAE cross-border financial business.
• Comply with UAE regulatory rules and internal bank policies.

Required qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English and Mandarin, including bilingual business communication, negotiation, and document drafting.
• Solid corporate banking expertise and knowledge of wholesale products including corporate lending, trade finance, cash management, treasury, and RMB clearing.
• Proficiency in credit analysis, financial statement review, and risk assessment, with experience preparing credit proposals and supporting credit approvals.
• Familiarity with UAE banking regulatory compliance requirements.
• Track record in corporate or wholesale banking business development and client portfolio growth.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and time management skills and ability to adapt to a multicultural, fast-paced international banking environment.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience cooperating with internal risk and compliance teams is a plus.
• Experience in international banks or Chinese overseas branches is highly preferred.
• CFA, ACIB, or other professional certifications are beneficial.
