About This Role

Job Description

We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager to join our dynamic, diverse State Street Investment Management Middle East & Africa (MEA) team.

Reporting to the Head of Relationship Management MEA, you will be a member of the regional Client Coverage team contributing to our client relationship management and business retention efforts.

You will be part of an ambitious and entrepreneurial team covering a range of client segments with a strong focus on Official Institutions, pension funds, family offices and financial institutions.

Your personal focus will be on Tier 2-3 clients across the region.

You will also be invited to take part in strategic projects and initiatives supporting our business growth and risk excellence efforts in the region.

This role will call for collaboration across the entire firm: investments, research, sales and marketing, operations.

The role requires energy, flexibility, curiosity and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

You will gain exposure to a broad range of investment strategies including index and active equities, fixed income, cash, ETF, OCIO and private markets solutions, while developing an understanding of institutional and intermediary client needs and regional market dynamics.

What We Will Ask You To Do

  • Take ownership of tier 2 – tier 3 client relationships
  • Assist with client onboarding, mandate changes, asset transitions and distribution-related activities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Help prepare for client meetings by coordinating internal inputs, developing briefing materials and following up on agreed actions
  • Support the retention of existing business by contributing to high-quality service delivery and timely, accurate client communication
  • Assist with RFPs, client due diligence questionnaires, product information requests and presentation materials
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders in investments, portfolio strategy, sales, marketing, operations and legal/compliance to deliver a coordinated client experience
  • Monitor client activity and basic product performance information, escalating queries where appropriate
  • Maintain accurate client records and support internal reporting requirements
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in line with internal policies, fiduciary standards and applicable regulatory requirements

What We Would Love You To Be

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related discipline
  • Progress towards CFA or CAIA qualification
  • Arabic language fluency is a plus
  • 3-5 years’ experience in asset management, client servicing, sales support or a related institutional financial services role
  • Experience dealing with asset owners and official institutions in the MEA region
  • Basic understanding of institutional investment products and markets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) including Co-Pilot
  • Willing to travel across the region
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of legal / regulatory framework in the UAE
  • A good problem solver and trouble-shooter, with the ability to identify and analyze issues with the creativity and energy to solve them
