Are you a reinsurance professional with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of treaty and facultative arrangements?

We are looking for a talented Reinsurance Assistant Manager to support the management of reinsurance operations, optimize risk transfer strategies, and strengthen relationships with reinsurers and brokers.

About the Role

The Reinsurance Assistant Manager will support the planning, placement, administration, and monitoring of reinsurance programs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company objectives.

The role works closely with underwriting, finance, actuarial, claims, and external reinsurance partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the placement and renewal of treaty and facultative reinsurance programs.
  • Coordinate with reinsurers and brokers regarding placements, recoveries, and contractual matters.
  • Monitor reinsurance utilization, capacity, and retention levels.
  • Review and reconcile reinsurance accounts, bordereaux, and statements.
  • Support the preparation of reinsurance reports for management and regulators.
  • Analyze reinsurance performance and provide recommendations for optimization.
  • Coordinate reinsurance recoveries and claims collections.
  • Ensure compliance with reinsurance contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Support negotiations with reinsurers and brokers during renewal cycles.
  • Maintain accurate reinsurance records and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional insurance or reinsurance qualifications are an advantage.

• IFCE Certification (mandated)

  • 5+ years of experience in reinsurance, underwriting, finance, or insurance operations.
  • Strong understanding of treaty and facultative reinsurance principles.
  • Experience within the insurance industry is preferred.
